STAY TUNED FOR 2018 RACE DATES!
Our family joined the racing community to give our kids and others the opportunity to do something clean, challenging, and with a positive attitude.
That’s what youth day is all about! Come join us as we dedicate the entire race day to our most valuable assets, our kids!
A DAY OF FUN AND EXCITEMENT FEATURING:
– A custom tailored youth course.
– Rodeo style competition with barrel racing and more.
– Mud Ninja / Moto Super Games.
– More fun than you can throw a sprocket guard at!
In the spirit of Humboldt Hills Motorcycle Club of Ross County, Death Valley Racing is sponsoring a day of excitement for kids of all ages (well, almost all ages).
The event is for kids ranging in age from 4-18 years young.
It is for mini ATVs up to 90 cc 2 stoke and 400 cc 4 stroke engines.
ATV riders up to 18 years of age.
All motorcycle up to 250cc (ages 4-18).
All participants must compete in three separate events to qualify for Youth Day awards.
DEATH VALLEY RACING OFF ROAD
First is a good old fashioned Hare Scramble. This is a race through the tamer sections at Death Valley consisting of woods on tight trails with hills, stumps, ruts, mud holes and more. Riders will ride for 30 minutes and complete as many laps as possible on the 1 1/2 mile course.
MUD NINJA/MOTO SUPER GAMES
Next is a motocross race like no other through the challenges and obstacles of The Mud Ninja Extreme Challenge course. This course sports jumps, bumps, tunnels, pits and whoops to test the rider’s skills. This is the most common form of off-road racing where each class is released at the same time to battle it out handlebar to handlebar and wheel to wheel to get the checkered flag first. The start includes a foot race through one of the hairiest Mud Ninja obstacles, the Hulk Shuffle.
PARKER FARM RODEO
The final race of the day is the Parker Farm Rodeo. This is an obstacle course set up in a zone with great spectator views. One at a time, Riders will maneuver through tight turns, circle barrels and perform feats of skill that were unimaginable before. The section will include: barrel racing, pole bending, flag racing and of course the goat throw (weather permitting). Your mission should you choose to accept it is to see who can complete the course the fastest.
The Parker Farm Rodeo will run all day starting at 9am. Stop by and run it at your liesure when your scheduled class is not running one of the other events. Be sure there to get there early to make it through. The Last Rodeo entry will be ran at 3pm.
At the conclusion of all the racing the riders finishing positions will be added together for a final score to decide the winners.
The Youth Day Triathlon was the signature event at Humboldt Hills for many years. We are setting our sights on a youth day that lives up to the great fun and enjoyment that Jay made a reality. As Jay said, “After all it is for the future of our sport…The Kids!”
